Reviewing the Matzuo Fantastic Jointed Minnow by Challenger

This lure is a massive favourite of mine. I hesitate even to call it a lure, I may as well call it a fish as it looks so unbelievably realistic in the water just the way it swims, the way it catches the light, the way it dives and surfaces.

The junction between the two body parts is a hinge rather than just a link and this makes a big difference to it's swimming action. It can only, therefore, swing from side to side and not up and down which means that it glides so smoothly through the water with an all in one body action rippling down its body from head to tail just like a real fish.

It's so very easy to control too and responds quickly to a jerk of the rod by diving deeper whilst all the time retaining it's smooth fish like movement. I love this lure!

Sadly for me, I aimed an unfortunate cast during my last fishing trip and got my Matzuo lure tangled on a rope. After many attempts to free it, I was gutted to have to walk away and abandon it to the sea. I've got another one already though!
